Father Vasken and the Parish Council are honored to announce Holy Trinity’s 2020 Parishioner of the Year, MaryAnn Soursourian LaCarubba. We recognize MaryAnn for her unparalleled commitment to the church office and Parish Council after the untimely passing of long-term staff member Seta Buchter. MaryAnn’s countless hours, along with her seasoned perspectives and generous spirit carried us through a dark time. She heard “the voices of her parents whisper in her ear” and answered wholeheartedly.
MaryAnn carries on the tradition of her parents who lovingly served Holy Trinity for many years. She was baptized at Holy Trinity and attended Sunday School and ACYOA. As an adult, MaryAnn was married at Holy Trinity, was a member of the Women’s Guild and served on the Parish Council. She currently sits on the Audit Committee and continues to offer mentoring and guidance to the office staff.
With the ongoing pandemic, restrictions remain in place for gatherings. Sadly, our traditional banquet celebration will not occur. However, on Thursday, October 29, with members of the Parish Council Tivan and others, seven people in all, we will have the honor thanking MaryAnn and presenting her with our traditional Parishioner of the Year crystal wedge, on behalf of all parishioners. MaryAnn is a testament to the spirit of what makes this parish so special… our people.
We’ll share photos with you after the presentation and look forward to a time when we can warmly hug MaryAnn for her service and dedication to Holy Trinity.
