It was a weekend of Faith, Family, Friends, and Fellowship at Holy Trinity Armenian Church as the celebration of Western Christmas continues.
The weekend full of celebrations began with a Christmas Ball hosted by the Holy Trinity ACYOA Juniors that brought together 80 teens from nine diocesan parishes within the greater Boston area and beyond. Guests enjoyed an evening of festive fellowship as they danced the night away under the beautiful Christmas lights in the Charles and Nevart Talanian Cultural Hall. In a gesture of support to their brothers and sister in Arstakh, the ACYOA Juniors donated 20% of the Ball’s proceeds, along with additional donations made by guests, to the families of fallen Artsakh soldiers. We thank Yn. Arpi and the Youth Leadership team for their dedicated efforts.
Following the celebration of the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, parishioners were captivated by the innocence and love displayed by the students of the Sunday School during the presentation of their traditional Christmas Pageant held in the sanctuary. Many thanks to the students, teachers and Pageant Director Susan Derderian and Youth Choir Director Dan Teager for sharing “The Story of Christmas.”
The parish Christmas celebration continued as parishioners gathered on the Hollisian Plaza for the annual lighting of our parish Christmas Tree which will stay lit throughout the Christmas Season. Many thanks to Richard and Karen Diranian for donating this year’s tree.
Our weekend celebration concluded with a complimentary Pre-Christmas Yalanchi Luncheon, thoughtfully underwritten by Parish Council Chairman Gregory A. Kolligian, Jr., and Crystal Mazza. Guests who attended the delicious meal, prepared by Kevork Boyajian of the Armenian Social Club (Agoomp), raised additional funds for the Arstakh families of fallen soldiers through their heartfelt donations. Through both collections, the Holy Trinity parish collected over $1,500 in support of our brothers and sisters in Arstakh.
It was wonderful to watch the community come together this weekend to help celebrate this most joyous season of the birth of our Lord and Saviour.
