2022 Thanksgiving Luncheon

On November 20, 2022, Holy Trinity hosted their annual Thanksgiving Luncheon. The Thanksgiving themed day began with the celebration of Badarak including an interactive youth sermon during which, “I’m thankful for my family” was a popular response among the Sunday School students. Following Badarak was a sold-out Thanksgiving Luncheon in the Charles and Nevart Talanian Cultural Hall prepared by David Minasian and David Dorian and was served by 27 of the Holy Trinity ACYOA Jrs.

Parishioners and friends started off the luncheon by listening to the words of our Primate, the Very Rev Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan, whose Thanksgiving message inspired everyone. The prayer offered prior to the meal was written by the members of the Holy Trinity ACYOA, offering words of praise, gratitude and petition during this season of Thanksgiving. The ACYOA’s Youth Leadership Team and general members thanked Gregory A. Kolligian, Jr. and Crystal Mazza for their generous gift to underwrite a portion of the Thanksgiving Luncheon.

During the Luncheon families and ACYOA members assembled 20 complete Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets with the donations brought in by parishioners. These baskets were picked up at the end of the luncheon by volunteers from Solutions at Work in Cambridge and will be provided to families in need during this Thanksgiving holiday.

People of all ages longing to be together was felt throughout the hall on this day, and their desire to give back to one another and the greater community was truly inspiring.
